Whew. We're tired! :)

But, we've enjoyed our day!

Here are a few more pictures for you to enjoy.

What a great day we had yesterday! So much fun during our Bible classes and afternoon activities...

A favorite time of the day is our swim time. The kids love to play in the lagoon with all of the water elements, and the pool is so refreshing during the hottest part of our day!

We've had a lot of fun during Wild Thing - singing crazy, fun songs that parents will be thanking us for in the days to come!! ;)

Dinner was hamburgers, and we all filled up before an evening of worship and an incredibly full talent show!!

We woke this morning to overcast skies and thunder. But, the weather held off for the most part, and we were able to carry on with our morning schedule. There was a brief shower just as canteen ended and chapel began, but we just went inside and continued right on with all the fun. We're talking today about how we can learn to pray like Jesus did. Our Bible lessons will include the story Jesus told about the prayers of the Pharisee and the tax collector, and we'll take a good look at The Lord's Prayer to see what Jesus said when his disciples asked how they should pray.

After classes, we break into groups for our team activities. Here's a picture of the teams who were playing water games today.

We had hot dogs and tater tots for lunch with sliced peaches and baked beans. Then, we headed back for rest time in the cabins.

Everyone is dressed and ready for swim time - girls start at the lagoon and the boys are at the pool. We'll take a short break for a snack in just a few minutes, then switch locations and continue the fun!

Thanks for all your prayers for us this week! We're all doing fine and having a really great time!

We know what a special blessing each one of these kids is to you and your families. We're grateful that you've allowed us to spend the week with them!

Hello! We're well into our first full day of camp, and everyone seems to be having a wonderful time!

We got everyone registered yesterday, met our counselors and cabin mates, and completed our swim tests so that we can enjoy a break from the heat each day! We spent some time in worship last night and were introduced to our theme for the week which is "Big Feet - Following the Footsteps of Jesus." We'll talk about following Jesus as we love, as we serve, as we learn to pray, and as we forgive. Our theme verse for the week is 1 John 2:6. Excited to see all that we learn this week about following Jesus!

Today, we've been to our Bible classes, had chapel over-looking the lake, and participated in some fun team activities. Lunch was fried chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese and pineapple! Yum!!

Now, everyone is resting in their cabins so we can be ready for all the fun planned for the afternoon! We'll get to swim in the pool again AND have our first time in the lagoon! The kids are excited about the 40 foot water slide, the trapeze, and the zip-line. It's gonna be great fun!

We've got lots of little "hams" in this session! The list of participants for "Fun Hour" - our nightly talent show - just keeps growing. They're singing, telling jokes, doing skits and showing us all kinds of fun gifts that God has given them!

Thank you for trusting us with your sweet ones this week! We're doing all we can to make sure that their time is fun and safe and that everyone is relaxed and having a good time. Thank you for your prayers for us! We'll do our best to keep you updated through this blog, but thank you for your patience as we are somewhat limited in our "free" time :) and in our internet access!

Hey, everyone! Hope you're just about finished packing and that your plans are in place to join us for another great week of New Beginnings Christian Camp!

Our staff will gather tomorrow at Brookhaven Retreat Center to finish training and put the final touches on our preparations for the week. We've been praying and planning for many months now, and we look forward to seeing what God will do during our time at camp.

Parents, remember that registration begins at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and ends at 2:00 p.m. You'll want to be at camp as close to 1:00 as possible so that you can move through the registration process quickly and get everyone settled into their cabins in time for the fun we have planned for the afternoon.

Many blessings as you travel to camp! We look forward to your arrival on Tuesday!
